Ashok Das is the CEO of Hansa|GCR. Under his leadership, Hansa|GCR has grown from Hansa Research with one
13-employee office in India to a fast-growing international research organization with 250 plus employees and offices in both India and the U.S.
One of Mr. Das’s achievements at Hansa Research was to conceptualize the HPI (Household Potential Index), a new consumer classification system, which was welcomed and used by leading organizations as the superior way of classifying Indian consumers. He is widely known as an original thinker and considers himself a market researcher by soul.
Mr.Das’s worked with ORG-MARG Research, Ltd., where he was president in charge of all customized and media research. There he created a number of ground-breaking studies, including INTAM (Indian National Television Audience Measurement) and IRS (Indian Readership Survey). Mr. Das holds a bachelor of technology degree from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from IIM Kolkata.
